From songwriter Finnegan Bell: “I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve, and being this passionate can hurt at times. I can be a people pleaser for people that don’t care as much about me, and I’m trying to get out of that unhealthy habit.”

It’s got a catchy beat, but it’s also got an edge. It’s like the best of both worlds—not quite pop, not quite rock, but somewhere in between. And the lyrics! They’re direct and honest, and they’re delivered by the artist’s distinctive vocals, which are equal parts soulful and sultry.

3) RUSTY STRINGS AND THE RAW DEAL – Deception

If you’re a fan of rock music from the ’80s, you’ll love Rusty Strings and the Raw Deal.

This is an indie act from Greenwood, South Carolina that plays all kinds of rock music, from garage rock to new wave and everything in between.

”I wrote and recorded music as Rusty Strings and the Raw Deal from 1980 until 1986. No matter where or what I studied or did to make money for a living, this was my real job and my real passion.”

It was during this period that he became convinced that 1983 should be released, and that “Deception,” the eerily prescient attack on celebrity status, would be the lead single when his 14-year-old daughter gravitated towards it, and that it was her way of defending herself against those who were famed solely for the sake of being famous.

4) BIG MONO – Truth Be Told

The Big Mono band is a brand new rock band with an impressive pedigree in the British rock scene, and their sound will appeal equally to fans of classic rock and those with a more modern style of rock.

There are three members of the band. Located in England, Scotland and Germany, this band is doing this for the sheer joy of creating music together and the thrill of performing live shows.

‘Truth be Told’ is the second single from the upcoming album, ‘Small stage – Big ego’, which is scheduled to be released in the latter part of the summer of 2023.

It’s clear that this band has some talent, they did amazing work on their production, that’s what they need to do if they want to be taken seriously in the music industry.

5) SIR-VERE – Lovescope

SIR-VERE is a UK-based alternative rock artist. The artist’s debut album, Lovescope, was released on March 18, 2023. The album features 11 tracks that combine elements of electronic music and indie rock.

The new album Lovescope features the single Misophonia, Lovescope as well the current single Peer Pressure. There is an amalgamation of electronic sounds, rock vibes, and alternative sounds in this song. Continuously pushing our own style and our own vision in everything they do.

The album is dark, experimental, and often left-of-centre—but it also features some of the most catchy melodies you’ll hear this year. it’s an experience that takes you on a journey through emotions and experiences like no other album can.

6) DYSPLAY – Ways To Spend Time

DYSPLAY is an artist that you should definitely check out. Their new single, “Ways To Spend Time” is an anthem of a song—it’s super catchy and super edgy!

It’s alternative rock with a pop twist, which makes it incredibly unique. It’s hard to describe the sound without being able to listen to it, but if you’re into alt-rock or punk rock, you’ll probably love this song!

It’s another chapter in their upcoming concept LP “Electric Harbor.” It’s another scene built out to build out the fictional world that they have created with this album.

I have an example of one who takes the form of a bored, nihilistic character who steals a car to try to escape their mundane life, but then can’t take responsibility for their actions, so they blame it on someone else to avoid conflict between themselves and others.

7) ALEC BERLIN – Man’s Best Friend

Alec Berlin‘s new album, Man’s Best Friend, is an acoustic-rock album that harkens back to the classic sound of classic rock and retro guitar rock.

In “Man’s Best Friend,” a song with a unique style and design, it weaves together a wide range of familiar elements in order to take the listener on a journey unlike any other.

As peaceful and energetic as it is soothing and exciting, “Man’s Best Friend” is a truly addictive record that will keep you hooked from beginning to end.

The music on this album can be described as acoustic rock with elements of classic rock mixed in with some pop elements thrown into the mix as well, which makes for an interesting listening experience especially if you listen to it from start to finish without skipping any tracks.

8) SNAKEDOCTORS – Brighter (feat. Nik Hughes)

If you’re looking for a great new song to listen to, check out SNAKEDOCTORS‘ new single “Brighter (feat. Nik Hughes).” This song is the perfect combination of alternative rock and garage rock, with a touch of grunge and hard rock thrown in for good measure.

As another single from the Snakedoctors, “Brighter” is another track that is promoting their upcoming album, “Waiting”. Once again, the song features Nik Hughes, one of Bush’s drummers.

This song is about the fact that brighter days are about to arrive finally after the dark days of the past.

It is worth noting that the mixing was done at Osso Studio by Dawid Gorgolewski and the mastering was done by Stephen Marcussen – the legend who has experienced a lot of greatest productions in recent years and who has mastered one of the definite majority of songs from Snakedoctors’ new album.

9) STUTTERBOY – False Dam

Stutterboy is a young band from Brooklyn, New York, that has been making waves in the indie rock scene for some time now. The band’s latest single is False Dam, and it’s a great indicator of where this band is going.

From their upcoming full-length album, Stutterboy is releasing their third single, “False Dam.” It is one of the more fierce-sounding tracks on the album.

“False Dam” is a dark and distinct blend of Post-Punk and 90s Psychedelic Rock, as it blends simple minor chord progressions with tenacious synth tones, to create a dark and unique sound.

With its wearied and distant vocals, this tune is laced with reverbs and delays which accent the grimace that oozes beneath the surface.
