1) THE PARLOPHONICS – Dying Of The Light
The Parlophonics are a band from Dresden, Germany that has been making music for some time now. They have some releases, the most recent of which is Dying Of The Light.
The sound of this album is a mixture of Britpop and alt-country. There are elements of acoustic guitars, power pop, and classic rock. It’s also got a little bit of soul rock in there as well.
If you’ve ever listened to anything from The Beatles or The Rolling Stones to The Who or Led Zeppelin, then you know how well this style works on an audience—and it’s no different here!
In fact, I’d go so far as to say that if you’re looking for an album that’ll remind you of why you fell in love with music in the first place (without being too cheesy), then look no further than these guys.

2) JAMES & PAUL – Helicopter Trees
JAMES & PAUL‘s single Helicopter Trees is a perfect example of alt-rock pop that’s both super catchy and very UK-based in its culture.
Helicopter Trees by James & Paul is a pop rock masterpiece. It has all the elements of a classic pop song: catchy lyrics, a catchy melody, and the right mix of elements to make it super catchy.
The instrumentals are lush and layered, and add depth to the track without being overpowering or distracting from the vocals. The lyrics are well-written and easy to follow.
This makes the song perfect for driving around town or just relaxing at home on one of those days when everything feels like it’s going wrong but somehow still feels right at the same time. Their sound is anthemic in the best possible way—a perfect blend of classic rock and modern pop sensibilities.
If you’re looking for something to get you through your day when you need a little pick-me-up or to set the mood at your next party, James & Paul have got you covered. 3) KATANAK – Lights Of Tokyo
KATANAK wrote about ‘Lights of Tokyo’ after a close friend told him the story of meeting someone on a night out in Tokyo, and he wanted to convey an emotional reaction when you see someone and you just click with them.
In this song, he was trying to capture the excitement and energy of being in a foreign city, being unable to speak the language, and being swept up in that atmosphere of meeting someone new in an upbeat, modern and indie pop/rock style.
There is an electrifyingly infectious tune, with a high energy and anthemic chorus and it is always a crowd pleaser when he performs it live, drawing inspiration from The 1975, The Wombats and COIN. It’s always a crowd-pleaser when he plays it live as well.
Check out KATANAK on Spotify or visit their website to see what else they’ve got going on—and if you like this song as much as we do (which we bet you will), follow them so that when they release new music, you’ll be the first to know!

If you’re looking for an artist to get lost in, look no further than WILD GRAVITY. This Chicago-based band has been making waves with their instrumental EP, Instrumental Transmissions, and we think you should check it out.
It is five years since the release of Wild Gravity’s debut EP “Initial Transmissions”, which is an instrumental version of the band’s first EP, and they keep things going strong with their new instrumental EP “Instrumental Transmissions”.
There are six songs featured on the album that represent the very first songs they have written together as a group. The release of the instrumental versions of the songs highlights more the music and intricacies that one might not notice when listening to the vocals.
We recommend checking out Instrumental Transmissions if you’re a fan of any of those bands or their contemporaries like Yes or Rush—or even if you just love good music! You can find the EP on Spotify or visit their website.

5) 9 O’CLOCK NASTY – The Gastronaut
The Gastronaut by 9 O’Clock Nasty is a great first single from the indie act, who are based in Leicester, UK. The song has an alt-rock sound with some post-punk elements, and it’s super catchy.
The vocals are strong and powerful, and the guitar riffs are edgy and full of energy. The lyrics are a bit dark but also contain some tongue-in-cheek humour. This track is definitely one of those bangers that you’ll want to listen to over and over again!
“A crunching, grinding bass over the most fluid of beats. Barked instructions and an ear-worm chorus over a mad piano melody that drills deep into your brain. I never knew how far past ‘too far’ 9 o’clock Nasty would dare go. I honestly didn’t imagine it would be this far.” (Danzig Krupp writing for Dark Strudel)
They’ve already made quite an impression on the indie music scene! If you want to get in on the ground floor with them, check out their website or follow them on Spotify.

Juliet Callahan is a singer-songwriter based out of Los Angeles, California. Her single “Depth Of Soul” is a rock ballad with a pop edge that will leave you mesmerized by her voice and the darkly beautiful lyrics.

Blindness & Light is a British-based alternative rock band, from the island of Anglesey. It is the sixth release by the group in the space of about as many months and is also the last release before the release of the debut album on 1st July.
Even in the midst of a maelstrom of conflict and destruction, there is still a possibility to find tranquillity, peace, and a sense of hope for the future.
The track has a very post-punk sound, and it’s got some old rock vibes going on as well. It’s definitely a rock song that would fit into the genre of alternative rock, indie rock, and post-punk.
The song sounds like it could have been written in the 80s or 90s—it has that classic rock feel without being too dated or old-fashioned. If you’re into British-based culture or North England-based culture then this is definitely something you should check out!

9) COMA BEACH – Jesus’ Tears
COMA BEACH is an alternative rock band from Würzburg, Germany. They’re pretty new, but they’ve already made a name for themselves with their anthem-like sound and catchy pop-punk music.
It was written by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett. This song can be found on the album “The Scapegoat’s Agony”. The title of the album is a reference to Beckett’s play “Waiting for Godot.”. You’ll find yourself humming along to this one before you know it.
This can be seen as an indication of the – for the most part – a painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the unnamed antihero who is struggling for his life.
As he suffers through a Christ-like crucifixion in his delirious state of madness, the unnamed antihero vows to avenge himself on those he deems responsible for the suffering that he has endured.

It honours the stories of many wonderful people in the trans and non-binary communities and in a broader sense of the term it raises the stories of anyone who is working hard to make progress and own their identity in a world that doesn’t always make it easy for them.
