1) BRENDAN LANE – One Life (feat. Quesmark)
Brendan Lane is a rapper, singer, and songwriter who hails from Washington, DC. He has recently released his single “One Life” which features Quesmark.
The song is an alternative rock track that combines classic rock, rap rock, and a little bit of soul rock for good measure. The song has a groove that will make you dance as you listen to it.
It is this upbeat blend of hip-hop and blues rock that encourages the audience to rise above the trauma inherited from our predecessors while reminding them not to listen to the noise of the doubters in this world that will make them lose hope.
This song was written by Brendan Lane, producer Chris Jennings, and featured artist Quesmark. The song will be accompanied by a video that will be released one week after the song goes live on all digital music platforms.
”Ya got one life, it’s yours to waste.”

2) MERMAID AVENUE – Loveday No 9.
Mermaid Avenue will release their third album later this year and the title track will be “Loveday No. 9.”. Despite its upbeat nature, the song is about Pete Clarke’s Italian grandfather, Alfie, who emigrated to Australia before WWI to escape fascism.
The first thing you’ll notice while listening to Loveday No. 9 is the vocals. The Lead singer has a strong, clear voice that he uses to create a smooth, soothing tone throughout the song. The lyrics are also beautifully written and easy to understand
If you like alt-country or classic rock then this single will be right up your alley! It’s great background music but also good enough that you could listen closely and appreciate all of its nuances.

3) ANGERLAND – 2020 Visions
Formerly known as ”Fuckshovel”, London-based Angerland deliver hard-hitting rage-n-roll in the vein of Killing Joke, Ruts DC, and New Model Army. Prior to their current reincarnation, the members of Angerland toured with the likes of Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols, The Germs, and Slim Jim Phantom both in the UK and as far as SXSW.
Post-punk quartets Angerland from the United Kingdom have released a post-pandemic tribute to the suffocation and ‘carnival chaos’ of 2020 that carries on today, bringing together graffiti-adorned mask-wearers from a variety of cultures to tell the story of their experience.
Kerm, a member of Angerland, suggested the title “2020 Visions” as a title for the song, and the song was conceived just before the world went into lockdown when the song was finished.
As Angerland reconvened after lockdown, the lyrics, which were originally to be a kind of Nostradamus-style prediction, had morphed into a further commentary on the era we’re living in and became more of a commentary on the times we’re living in.
This song is proof that ANGERLAND has what it takes to stand out from the crowd—and we can’t wait to see what else comes next! Follow them on Spotify, and don’t forget to visit their website!
4) THE NOISE – One
THE NOISE is an indie rock band from Peterborough, Canada. Their single One is a blend of punk and alternative rock, with male vocals that are reminiscent of the early 2000s.
This song was inspired by the tragic death of Mahsa Amini. She was killed for not wearing her hijab correctly by Iran’s religious morality police.
This news deeply affected me, as it does thousands of others. Mahsa’s justice protests have been brutally repressed, exposing Iranian society’s severe inequities. Mahsa’s death has sparked protests across the world. Still, the news is siloed.
”That’s where our song “One” comes in. We wanted to lend our music and voice in support of Mahsa and every other woman facing religious discrimination. And we wanted to help their message reach a wider audience through a popular medium – song. “One” is an energetic rock anthem about standing up for what’s right, even when it’s not easy.”
All in all, this album is worth checking out if you are looking for something new and exciting in today’s music industry! Follow them on Spotify!
5) PERISCOPI INVERTIT – Ball Pla De Tirig
Ball Pla de Tirig is a traditional Catalan folk dance that has been reinterpreted and rerecorded by many Catalan folk artists who have given it new interpretations and recordings.
It is Periscopi Invertit that creates an original arrangement for this uplifting melody by harmonizing it with jazz harmonies, and riffs, and by slightly altering the song structure, which enables this song to be played as if it was a jazz piece while keeping the brightness of the original melody at the same time.
Periscopi Invertit is an independent artist from London who creates music-inspired Europe culture. He combines traditional folk sounds with modern beats to create cinematic tracks that are perfect for relaxing or studying.
The song is available on Spotify if you want to check it out. You can also visit his website for more information about him or other projects he’s working on.
6) LIV CRASH – Shakespeare Inspired The Boobs
Liv Crash, with his music, blurs the lines between funk and rock, bringing energy and melody to the audience, as well as a big, larger-than-life personality to the stage.
A unique aspect of this release is how it shows off the artist’s amazing creativity. The song begins with a catchy bass line and quickly morphs into a funk-rock banger with great rhythm, melody, and colour.
Liv Crash’s guitar work is impressive, echoing the work of notable guitarists such as Cory Wong, John Frusciante, and Nile Rodgers.
The lyrics to this song are also really fun, as they take a jab at the sometimes frivolous and superficial outlook that we can sometimes experience from people on social media in the form of their posts.
This single is just one example of LIV CRASH’s ability to combine elements from many genres into something that sounds completely original. He combines rock with funk, pop and R&B to create a sound that’s truly unique.
If you’re looking for some new tunes to play in your car on those long drives home from work or school, I highly recommend checking out Liv Crash on Spotify or visiting their website for more info!
7) THE STARKILLERS – Eyes Like Fire
If you love alt-rock and pop music, you’ll likely be a fan of THE STARKILLERS. Their new single, “Eyes Like Fire,” is a perfect example of how their sound blends the two genres together to create something fresh and exciting.
Taking on a heavier sound and grungier approach, this is The Starkillers’ fourth single to date. There is no doubt that they can play any genre of music out there, and they continue to prove that.
Compared to their previous releases, Starkillers’ latest release Eyes Like Fire is more rock-centric and guitar-forward. He belts out strong vocals about a girl he can’t get out of his head, tempting himself not to think about what captured him most – her eyes like fire. Throughout the song, Omen’s lyrics describe his obsession and need for this girl alone in the dark.
It has all the elements of classic alt-rock—a driving beat and catchy guitar riffs—combined with pop elements like dynamic vocals and catchy choruses. This song will have you singing along after just one listen!

8) GOLEM DANCE CULT – Dalek Rhetoric
In January 2023, one of the most promising industrial dance rock duos, GOLEM DANCE CULT, released a new song entitled “Dalek Rhetoric”.
They recently released their new single, Dalek Rhetoric. It’s an edgy song with strong male vocals that will get your blood pumping and your head bobbing along to the beat. If you’re looking for something new, check out GOLEM DANCE CULT!
”Dalek are extra terrestrial killing machines with a binary thinking pattern: you are either a Dalek or they will destroy you. This seems fitting with the mentality of the World we live in. As a visual inspiration for the video, in addition to the Dalek (thanks Doctor Who), there are reels of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia (a “true to form” Dalek move)”
It’s hard to put this song into words without sounding like an ad—but we’ll try anyway: check it out! Visit their website! Follow them on Spotify!
9) THORN – ASHTRAY
THORN is a UK-based band that blends an experimental and industrial sound with elements of rock, noise rock, industrial metal, and post-hardcore.
The single ASHTRAY is the second single released by THORN.
The poem is written as a eulogy to the late great ASHTRAY JONES. It bleeds catharsis from the painful memories it evokes.
Presented in the form of a broken sonata, THORN asks the most fundamental questions to the gods themselves, demanding answers. In conjunction with the release of the song, THORN has initiated a fundraising drive for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).
There is a great deal of expression, anger, confusion, and hurt in these words. From the depths of THORN’s mind, he bleeds into the depths of yours.

10) ANGELINA LUZI – Silent Moon
Angelina Luzi is an independent artist from London, UK. She is a singer-songwriter who has been making waves. Her single Silent Moon is a catchy pop-rock song that will get stuck in your head for days.
In her new single ‘Silent Moon’ – released on 10th February 2023 – Angelina Luzi writes about losing your direction as well as being torn between the heart and head in the song.
With her first song of the year, Italian & English independent artist Angelina Luzi combines alt-pop/soft rock indie with an infectious synth line, a strong hook, and appealing lyrics. A vibrant composition, epic melodies, and a spectacular sound produced by frequent collaborator Nick Burns form the basis of Angelina’s sentiments and trademark stylings on this song.
“Silent Moon was written in a moment of loss of direction, when the only reassuring feeling would come by watching the moon and its soothing cycles, waiting and hoping for answers to come while torn apart, head and heart. I hope this song gives the same strength and hope to my listeners too”. – Angelina Luzi explains
