RUBY NIXXONS is a British hard rock band that draws inspiration from classic rock, blues, and heavy metal. Their new single “Set Me On Fire” is a perfect example of their gritty, powerful sound.
The track opens with an anthemic guitar riff that calls to mind the classic rock sounds of bands like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC. The vocals are delivered by lead singer Gordon Chalmers, who has an impressive range and an impressive ability to hit notes that only a true rock star could manage.
The lyrics are also noteworthy: they’re full of metaphorically charged imagery that’s bursting with emotion. The song paints a picture of a man falling head over heels for someone he barely knows but can’t get out of his head—for good reason!

4) WYNTER KILLS – Condemned To Burn
There are many genres of music that people may consider to be “fringe” or “lunatic”, but when it comes to the world of heavy metal and rock, there’s nothing more lunatic and fringe than black metal. And that’s exactly what makes us love these guys!
One band that has helped bring more attention to this genre is WYNTER KILLS. Their single, “Condemned To Burn,” is an anthem for all who seek a little more darkness in their lives.
This song features an impressive male vocalist who can hit notes that are just incredible and in a style that is not often heard in this type of music. You can practically feel your soul being sucked out as you listen.
The overall sound is very reminiscent of bands like COBALT or RED FANG, but with a much heavier sound than either of those two groups has ever put out before.
You don’t need to be a fan of black metal or death metal to enjoy this band: just give them a listen and see what happens. Just prepare yourself to have your heart pumping faster! Check it out, visit the artist’s website and follow on Spotify.
5) CALL IN DEAD – Deepest Condolences
Deepest Condolences is a 16-track album by Call In Dead, an American band based out of Orlando, Florida. The album is heavy on hardcore punk, metal, and all about hard rock sounds, with a few nods to skater rock and banger anthems. It’s got a lot of male vocals and lyrics that are super edgy in their tone.
The lead single is “Song About A Horse” which has some incredibly strong vocals, from a lead singer who just doesn’t stop belting out these incredible notes that just hit you right in the gut. You can’t help but feel like you want to get up and wave your head with him, like crazy.
The first three songs also include some great guitar solos which give it an edge over other songs on the album. In fact, there are many tracks that include excellent solo work throughout, something which makes this album stand out above most others in its genre.
Overall, this album has great potential on the punk rock scene and we are sure it’s gonna be explosive on hard rock playlists too. Check it out on their SoundCloud, visit the artist’s website and follow on Spotify.
6) ALEC BERLIN – Life In The Bog
The Brooklyn-based indie rock artist Alec Berlin is back with a brand new EP, and it’s going to have you lose through your own imagination as this is made to experience time travel to another dimension while listening.
Life In The Bog is a six-track instrumental album that takes listeners on an epic journey through all the stages of life, from birth to death. But don’t worry: it’s not all doom and gloom!
In fact, there are plenty of lighthearted moments sprinkled throughout the EP that will have you tapping your toes and grinning from ear to ear. But some dark tunes too.
The opening track, for example, “Life Is The Bog” starts off with gentle piano notes before kicking into a stronger guitar riff. It’s an anthem that makes you want to try rock ‘n’ roll in a different way, using your imagination—and it’s easy to see why: it feels like being in the middle of a rock festival, but suddenly you feel like you are in a suspicious encounter, in an affair.
As mentioned by the artist: “Life in the Bog is a dark, moody song that travels to the places less visited.” It means you are totally free to use your imagination and create your scenarios. It works as a proper therapy!
From there, the EP moves through different stages of life as Berlin explores melodies that evoke different emotions, such as falling in love, falling out of love, rebel attitude, getting old and nostalgic, etc. Check it out, visit the artist’s website and follow on Spotify.
7) MARY KILS – Porte Sept
France’s MARY KILS is a fresh new artist who mixes indie rock with the sounds of the 80s. Her single “Porte Sept” is a perfect example of her gorgeous voice and her ability to craft songs that are both catchy and meaningful.
The song starts off with a strong bass line, and soft drums which sounds amazing, and then quickly launches into a guitar riff that sounds like something from an 80s rock classic.
The instrumentation is simple but effective, with some subtle touches of piano throughout. The verses are sung in another language but it’s not a problem at all, there are plenty of French lyrics throughout the whole song.
This is a track that will appeal to fans of many types of music—alternative rock, classic rock, pop—and it’s just as enjoyable in its simplicity as it would be if you turned up your stereo as loud as it could go.
In addition to being a talented musician, MARY KILS is also beautiful and has an appealing visual. If you’re interested in checking out more of her work after listening to “Porte Sept,” make sure to visit her website and follow her on Spotify!
8) TEN EIGHTY TREES – Wear Me Down
Ten Eighty Trees is a band from Newcastle, UK, that creates alt-rock music with nostalgic vibes. Their latest single, “Wear Me Down,” is a great example of their style: it’s catchy, it’s got a great beat and it’s super fun to dance along to.
The song itself is an anthem for all those people who have ever felt like they were wearing themselves down by life’s challenges—you know what I mean? You just get tired of being told what to do all the time, and you feel like your identity is disappearing into a black hole of expectations and obligations.
That’s why this song resonates so much with me: it reminds me that there are people out there who understand me and my struggles as an individual in today’s society. This is one of the best rock bands we received this month.
The song starts off with some very ’90s-inspired guitar riffs that will make you want to get up and dance around the room with your friends like nobody’s business! This is followed by a heavy drumbeat that really drives home the meaning of the lyrics, then we hear the lead singer come in on his incredible vocals. Check it out, visit the band’s website and follow them on Spotify.
9) VLAD IN TEARS – Running Up That Hill
A band that has been gaining traction in the indie rock scene is VLAD IN TEARS. The German group has been making waves with their cover of “Running Up That Hill,” which is a powerful anthem that combines elements of dark wave, emo pop, and rock.
The song begins with a powerful drum beat that immediately grabs your attention and holds it throughout the track. The vocals are reminiscent of an early 1990’s rock sound, with a hint of classic metal thrown in for good measure. The lyrics are emotional but not over-the-top—they allow you to connect with them on an emotional level without being too much for you to handle.
The best part about this single is its ability to make you feel like your own personal anthem is playing as you listen to it; it’s got that kind of power behind it! It makes you want to stand up and wave your head like nobody’s watching—and maybe even scream at the top of your lungs!
If you’re looking for an alternative rock song that will take you back to the days when music was king, then look no further than “Running Up That Hill.”
Checking their portfolio we could see that their music has high quality and could be on the radios all around the world or used in cinema and the film industry, on Netflix, as the soundtrack of a very famous series. It’s just perfect! Check it out, visit the artist’s Facebook and follow on Spotify.
10) NOTHING BUT A NIGHTMARE – The Salvation
Nothing But a Nightmare, the alternative rock band from Langhorne, PA has just released their 11-track album The Salvation.
This is a must-listen for fans of rock, especially pop-punk rock and classic pop rock. With male vocals that sound like they could belong to Freddie Mercury, reaching high notes as if it was the easiest thing in life, this album is the perfect mix of 90s punk rock sounds and modern production.
The opening track “Baggage Claim” sets the tone for the rest of the album with its anthemic feel. It’s an upbeat song with light instrumentation that gets you ready to start dancing in your chair as soon as it starts playing. It’s about a broken heart but has nothing to do with melancholy.
The second track “Can’t Fix Stupid” starts off with an interesting abience sound as if inside of a pub, and follows suit with its catchy hooks and soulful lyrics that are sure to get stuck in your head after just one listen!
The next track “I hate You” slows things down a bit with its slower tempo but maintains that classic rock vibe throughout all 11 tracks on this album. This song feels like something The Beatles might have recorded in 2022. It’s just amazing and you will not regret listening to the full album!
