THE SAVAGE HEARTS releasing Gang War/Speed Kills
Evan Walsh’s Bold New Chapter with The Savage Hearts Rocks Harder than Ever
Emerging from the misty landscapes of Cavan, Ireland, The Savage Hearts are clenching the torch of Hard Rock and Rock N Roll, poised to set the music world ablaze. Their latest explosive single “Gang War / Speed Kills” is a testament to the blood-pumping, electrifying essence of rock music that courses through their veins.
With “Gang War / Speed Kills,” these rockers are not merely introducing themselves; they’re breaking down the doors with a sound that harkens back to the raucous spirit of classic giants like Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, infused with their own unique twist.
At the helm of this audacious band is Evan Walsh, the former heartbeat behind The Strypes’ drums, who has traded the mainstream spotlight for a grittier, more primal pursuit with The Savage Hearts. Here, he channels the legend of the enigmatic Eddie Cruizer, whose cult-classic celluloid failures like “The Creature That Ate Your Sister” are the kindling for their creative fire.
The Savage Hearts have distilled this influence into two incendiary tracks, with “Gang War” delivering a knockout punch of aggressive male vocals and feverish guitar riffs, leading seamlessly into “Speed Kills,” a breakneck anthem emblematic of the Punk Rock ethos.
Both tracks deliver powerfully soulful performances from both male and female vocalists, each a force of nature in their own right.

As I immersed myself in the rough-and-tumble grooves of “Gang War,” co-written with the lyrical genius Ste Kelly of Raglans, it was the unadulterated passion and raw power that struck me. It’s Rock N’ Roll in its most unapologetic form, craving not just your ear but your soul.
“The Savage Hearts are not merely a band; they’re a sonic revolution that demands your attention with every strum, beat, and howl,” as we, the curators at RockCharts.News, dare say. They echo the heydays of Blues-inspired Rock, pulling you into a whirlwind of sound that’s as timeless as it is refreshing.
One might ask, what fuels a band like The Savage Hearts? It’s an insatiable desire to defy norms, to resurrect the Classic Sound of garage rock, and to charge it with the frenzy of Psychedelic twists and turns that could only be born from the Irish Culture’s rich tapestry of storytelling and musical expression.
Their zeal has already set the Irish live scene about, impressing audiences at prominent festivals and even compelling Evan to share the stage with The Boomtown Rats in a harmonious collision of old and new Rock titans.
As they march forward with the support of Blowtorch Records, The Savage Hearts are unravelling a promising saga of Rhythm And Blues-drenched rebellion. For anyone craving that uncut, adrenaline-laced musical journey, “Gang War and Speed Kills” is your entry point.
