Get ready to be captivated by Chandra’s latest EP ‘Lifted’, an invigorating blend of alt rock pop and indie-rock melodies that transcend the ordinary.
Bristol-based pop-rock band Chandra has elevated the independent music scene with their debut EP ‘Lifted’. As an exhilarating new entry into the alt rock pop and indie-rock genres, Chandra delivers a collection that their fans describe as euphoric and invigorating.
“Chandra has mastered the art of creating feel-good music that resonates deeply with listeners,” says a RockCharts.News music curator. The group, featuring Chandra Naiir, Chris Wing, Keith Jones, and Rock Cheung, crafts melodies that echo the infectious charm of bands like The 1975 and Arctic Monkeys.
Following the release of five press-acclaimed singles between April 2023 and July 2024, ‘Lifted’ is a comprehensive tapestry of Chandra’s alt rock pop and indie rock prowess. The EP includes the beloved tracks “Smile (No Fox Gibbon)”, “Pretty”, “I’ll Be There”, “Lifted”, and “Lighters To The Sky (EP Version)”, along with the fresh addition of “Overload”.
According to Chandra, “From the very beginning, we wanted this EP to be an overwhelmingly positive, feel-good collection of songs that belong together and tell an uplifting story of the human condition.
The concept was simple: create a package of six songs that, when listened to at whatever time of day, or whatever your mood, will leave you buzzing, invigorated, and ready to take on any challenge.” You can listen to our full playlist which contains the artists’ music, and know more about their work by scrolling down the page.
Produced by Chandra Nair, Aaron Shawn, and Elliot Vaughan, with mastering by Stephen Kerrison and artwork by Wil Overton, ‘Lifted’ is a meticulously crafted gem that stands out in the indie melodic pop rock scene. The re-recorded “Lighters To The Sky (EP Version)” showcases Chandra’s growth since its initial release in April 2024, transitioning from a bedroom studio track to a more polished, dynamic piece of alt rock pop.
This EP is not just another collection of indie rock songs; it’s an uplifting musical journey through British culture and the human experience. The guitar work, particularly by Dean McCreadie in “Lifted” and “Overload”, adds a layer of complexity and resonance that complements the male vocals and upbeat energy of the tracks. “Lifted” is a must-listen for any aficionado of British culture and indie melodic pop rock, making it a quintessential addition to your playlist.
Chandra’s approach to storytelling through their music is both refreshing and captivating. By combining elements of alt rock pop and rock pop with their distinct British flair, they create a soundscape that is uniquely their own.
