1) MANNERS – Robbery
Manners have just made some noise on the Los Angeles music scene, and their new EP Robbery is sure to be one of the most talked about albums of the year. The EP is a blend of alternative rock and emo pop-punk that will have you singing along from beginning to end.
The band is called Manners, a pop-punk emo rock band from Los Angeles, California. In terms of how they write their music, they have a goal of harnessing the “play fast” mentality of bands like Joyce Manor or Turnstile whilst also having roots in the classical scene, such as Paramore or All Time Low.
My favourite song from the EP is ”Robbery”. It’s very energetic and heavy. I listened to it on repeat for a good while and I found that it’s a very well-produced track and really good to hear!
Their style is alternative rock with elements of emo pop-punk, emo rock and post-hardcore thrown in for good measure. In other words: super edgy! They sound a lot like Deftones and Motley Crue combined—not bad company to be listening to at all! Check them out on Spotify and visit their website!
2) CANNING – Shortline
If you’re a fan of alternative rock and indie rock, you’ve got to check out CANNING‘s single “Shortline.” It’s super catchy, and it has that classic sound that will be sure to get stuck in your head.
Being a product of the Chicago rock scene…with roots in and out of it, CANNING has continued to keep true to its roots of authenticity, diversity, and individuality throughout its career.
As to the listener, it is through experiencing the depths and dedication that can be found within an assault or the gentle caress of a live performance that a true connection can be made.
There are several reasons why Cann is determined to explore their music and portray a song, at least for that particular moment, in the rightful place.
It has been observed many times over the years that Canning does not play the song, and, due to time’s elasticity, the song will play them.

3) SPIRIT GUN – The Antonym
If you’re looking for a dose of true rock and roll, look no further than SPIRIT GUN‘s new EP The Antonym. SPIRIT GUN is an independent band based in Norfolk, VA that plays a style of 90’s alternative rock.
There are four songs on the EP, called The Antonym, which discuss life, loss, and how they are looking back on the past. It is announced that the first single will be the song titled “The Antonym”. It would be great if you would take a look at it and play it on your station.
A special EPK has been created about the EP which contains all four songs, art for the album, some bios, some pictures, and videos that are all about the EP. (If there is a file that you would like to upload, you can download it from the music player.)

4) BLUEBURST – Vanish
This is the first new music that Craig Douglas Miller (The Reach) has recorded in 20 years, as he collaborated with legendary guitarist Marty Willson-Piper (the church, Noctorum) to create Blueburst, the first new music that he has released in 20 years.
Miller and Willson-Piper have created a lush, guitar-based alternative rock sound with Blueburst, which is firmly rooted in 80s alternative and post-punk, but at the same time features a timeless feel and foot-pounding pace.
Amidst a sea of often overproduced, slick alternative rock, Blueburst stands unapologetically retro in style, proudly wearing its Oldwave influences on its sleeve in a never seen retro style.
“Most of my friends, and a lot of younger people as well, are still listening to the albums we grew up with, I think because there’s a rawness and honesty in that music. That’s what we aspired to here,” says Miller.

5) SWEET GIANT – Changing Shape
When Annie and Nick met touring musician Marco in London, they had already been making music together since their school years, and they decided to form Sweet Giant after meeting Marco.
With a love of Roots and Folk Rock, the three members have a shared desire to create an anthemic yet intimate sound that transports you to a desert sunset and creates a sound that transports you to a place beyond time.
With the release of their debut EP ‘Til You’re Blue’, the London Trio emerge from the ashes of lockdown life with a whole new sound. All of the songs were recorded and produced by the band themselves in their very own DIY studio in North London, aptly named ‘Big Vision Studios’.
Throughout the four tracks, there is a sense of being somewhere between the sweet and uplifting choruses of the 70s Fleetwood Mac and the ‘Paisley Underground’ guitar sounds of the 90s Mazzy Star. A dreamy and achingly cool vocal performance is backed by a rhythm section that is building to the crescendo of a sunset festival performance. The music is expansive, soaring, and organic, all at the same time.

6) RUBY TOPAZ – Rabbit Hole
Ruby Topaz is an independent band from the United States, Providence, Rhode Island. They’ve been working in her field for some time now, and their latest album, Rabbit Hole
It is through Mark Bram and his alter ego/band Ruby Topaz’s knowledge of all things rock, with influences as diverse as The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, that the signature sound of Ruby Topaz is crafted with an encyclopedic knowledge of all things rock.
There is nothing like a fresh conjuring of ancient rock spirits on Ruby Topaz’s new album ‘Rabbit Hole’ for a thrilling, electrified journey that features some of the finest conjurings of ancient rock spirits ever recorded.
Mark Bram’s trademark high-pitched vocal range, inspired by Robert Plant and Freddie Mercury, is a tribute to the pioneers of the rock legacy. Bram’s musical style has been described as ‘old school’ in terms of musicianship and songwriting as well as showmanship and production.
vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Mark Bram replied after being asked to describe the sound of his band: ‘We have the glam and theatrics of Cooper and Bowie, the sophisticated rock of Queen, the power and urgency of early Zeppelin with the melodic prowess of early Beatles’.

7) YOUR SCREAMING SILENCE – Despierta
Here’s a band I would like to introduce to you – Your Screaming Silence – a modern metal band from Russia. There was a new album released in December 2022 and it is absolutely amazing and very energetic!
Their sound is a mix of melodic metalcore with elements of nu-metal and heavy metal. I hear them and immediately compare them to bands like Deftones and Slipknot. The album features songs with female vocals and some tracks with male vocals.
My favourite song from this song is ”¡Despierta!”. It reminds me a lot of my favourite band, it’s energetic and the vocals are really strong, it gives you the chills like you’re listening to a war call.
Your Screaming Silence is based in Moscow, Russia—which gives them access to some truly unique cultural influences that you won’t find anywhere else in the world! You can hear these influences clearly throughout Despierta. When you listen to this album, you’ll feel like you’re travelling through Europe while listening to some seriously heavy tunes!
If you would like to hear more from them, follow them on Spotify, and visit their website for more information on them!
8) SABET AND DOHERTY – The Secret
In the midst of the pandemic, two music professors collaborated remotely to write and record 4 awesome songs that convey a retro yet fresh 80s vibe. They have already received great reviews, and I am sure you will love them! They’re Sabet And Doherty!
A track with this level of clarity and crispness is not overproduced or polished to the point where it becomes dull. Having instrumental breakdowns to break up the songs at the appropriate time adds a great deal of variety to the songs without feeling forced or extraneous.
The EP is a super catchy, classic rock that brings back memories of the 80s with its alternative rock vibe. The songs are well-written and have a great rhythm and blues feel to them.
The vocals are soft and have a nice flow that keeps you engaged throughout the whole album. It has a very classic sound to it that makes you want to listen to more of their music.
It’s got a lot of power—the vocals are strong and clear, and the instrumentals are well-balanced between all instruments. The track also has a great tempo that keeps things moving along nicely throughout the whole song.

9) LORDS OF DUST – Kickin Dust Up
The heavy metal band Lords of Dust has just released their debut EP Kickin Dust Up, which features the singles “Let’s Rip” and “Mr Stranger” which are a must-listen for anyone who appreciates massive riffs and killer guitar tones in their music.
It is interesting to see the band take a turn into infectious heavy metal inspired by the 70s, with guitars soaked in fuzz and octave pedals, which, when turned to 11, creates a wall of sound carried by Buco Haze’s melodic growl and the guitars soaked in fuzz.
In terms of influences, the Sabbath influence is evident on Kickin Dust Up, but there is so much more to this high-energy, diverse band that has been building a strong following around Los Angeles and beyond over the last few years.
It was also announced that they will be performing at the Planet Mammoth Festival in Scottsdale, Arizona, on the 3rd of October, at the beginning of the month!

His new single ‘Trail Of The Chosen One’ is a rock anthem with a classic sound, reminiscent of 80’s rock and roll. It has a strong, driving bass line with catchy guitar riffs and drum beats that will get you on your feet in no time. The song boasts anthemic lyrics.
