The Kentucky Band’s Second Album Collects Eight Singles and a Tyrant Rework with John Daly

Eight of the 13 songs on Mountain were already out before the album arrived on August 14, 2026. Six single releases then landed on six Fridays in seven weeks across June and July. That steady run set up the second album from Kentucky’s Andrew Moore and Hooch, a five-piece that describes its sound as piano-driven Americana.

Andrew Moore and Hooch have the title track Mountain in the playlist below, and their full coverage history sits on the band’s artist profile. Mountain reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Queue it up, then read on for how the catalogue got here.

The Catalogue So Far: Andrew Moore and Hooch Before Mountain

The band has built its catalogue one single at a time. Hey Dad opened the run in December 2023. Train Wreck followed in February 2024, then Tyrant in April, Come Home in May, Freedom in July and First Love in August. All six then landed on the debut album, Artists of the Moon, released on October 5, 2024.

That first album ran to 15 tracks and leaned long. Another Ride With You opened it at five minutes and 11 seconds, and Come Home stretched to five minutes and 25. It also carried Tyrant twice, once in full and once stripped back, both at five minutes and 20 seconds. The song mattered to the band from the start.

Between the two albums, the singles kept coming. Live Loud arrived in June 2025 and $50 Bill in November 2025. Clouds followed in February 2026 but did not make the new record. Then Heart of a Father came out in May 2026. The band says it won the Songwriter Achievement Award at the 2026 Josie Music Awards.

The awards list keeps growing, too. The band also lists Josie Band of the Year titles in 2024 and 2025. It adds Best Album and Best Band at the 2026 World Entertainment Awards. Meanwhile, the releases carry a DistroKid label code in their copyright lines, which marks the catalogue as self-released.

What Changed Here: Guests, a Studio and a Weekly Release Run

Three things changed on Mountain. First, the pace. Between June 5 and July 17, 2026, the band released six singles. In order, they were Mountain, Misbehaving and Fun, Peace Love and Harmony (Live at the Record Shop), a radio edit of Tyrant, Sex in a Silverado and the full Tyrant. Only one Friday in that stretch went without a release.

Second, the guests. Tyrant returned for a third time, now credited to the band with John Daly and Dan Tyminski. Tyminski adds harmonies and mandolin. Daly, the golfer, contributes spoken parts, and according to Music Crowns he also served as co-producer and delivers the spoken-word close. The same report places the recording at Sound Stage Studios in Nashville.

The numbers moved with it. The 2024 original ran five minutes and 20 seconds, while the album version runs five minutes and 31. A four-minute-25 radio edit came first, on June 26, the same day the video premiered. The video was filmed at Clearwater Country Club. At the time of writing it has drawn 6,335 views on YouTube, well ahead of the band’s earlier clips.

Third, the mix of old and new. Five songs are new on the album: Tasmanian Devil, Let Me Be, I Want Your Everything, Ford Tough Chevy Strong and Smile on my Face. The remaining eight had already done their work as singles.

The Through-Line: Kentucky Stages and Songs That Keep Coming Back

The steady thread is the stage. Moore plays solo every Thursday at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington, and the full band works rooms across Kentucky and into Ohio. Recent dates include Manchester Music Hall and The Burl in Lexington. There was also a New Year’s Eve show for the City of London, Kentucky, and a July 25 set in Corbin where the band played the title track.

That live circuit is also where the Daly connection formed. According to Music Crowns, Daly heard Moore and the band perform Tyrant and connected with it straight away. The band’s own channel shows the two performing it together at John Daly’s Invitational Tournament. The group has also played John Daly’s venue in Nashville.

The album ends on the same note. Its closing track, Peace Love and Harmony, is a live recording made at a record shop. According to the band, American Country Network picked up the video. Moore, a voting member of the Recording Academy, has also been named a Kentucky Colonel, according to the band’s site.

The numbers tell a split story. Spotify shows about 1,800 monthly listeners at the time of writing, while the band’s TikTok holds 41,400 followers and 87,800 likes. In other words, the audience is already there on social video; the streaming count is still catching up. And on September 23, 2026, the band posted that it had landed a billboard on Broadway in Nashville to promote the album.

So who is Mountain for? It suits listeners who want Americana, blues and Southern rock from a working live band, and who like to follow a catalogue as it grows. The Tyrant rework is the obvious entry point, but the five new songs show where the band goes next.

The RockCharts.News curator team: “The totals on Mountain are modest, but the run behind it is disciplined. Eight singles, a near-weekly release rhythm through June and July, and one song the band cared enough about to record three times. That is how independent catalogues climb.”
