The band formed in 2022 in southern Illinois. Vocalist and lyricist Adam Steglich has explained the name directly. The idea is of the music being forever felt in your mind and in your heart. It is a plain statement of intent, and the records have followed it.

The influences the members name themselves explain that spread. Steglich points to Alice In Chains vocalist Layne Staley, to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, and to Maynard James Keenan. Guitarist Corey Robinson comes at it from another side entirely. He cites David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, alongside Slayer, Metallica and the blues player Joe Bonamassa.
Those are not decorative name checks. You can hear the split on the EP. The vocal register and lyrical weight come from one lineage, the solos from the other. That tension gives three tracks more range than three tracks usually have.

That last clause is the operative one. The EP is being worked now, in 2026, precisely because it kept finding listeners after the album came out rather than being replaced by it.

For a listener deciding where to enter, the order matters less than it does with most catalogues. Stirring to Wake is the bigger and stranger record. Reviewers have reached for Bauhaus and Tool to describe it. The EP is tighter and more immediately legible: three songs of guitar-driven rock with the 90s alternative register intact.
