SkyCall releasing Are You Ready Now?
Experience the enigma and thrill behind SkyCall’s latest masterpiece, “Are You Ready Now?” and delve into the allure of 70’s psychedelic influences.
SkyCall, a name synonymous with the enchanting realms of psychedelic rock, emerges once again from the heart of France, Colmar. With their latest single, “Are You Ready Now?”, Fabrice Duval—psychiatrist by day and “rockstar” by night—captivates listeners with a sound that beautifully fuses 70s psychedelic vibes with the raw essence of classic rock.
Describing SkyCall’s music is like stepping into a vivid dream, where each note and beat casts an indelible spell. “Are You Ready Now?” exemplifies this allure, crafting a narrative around the thrill and enigma of elusive love.
It’s a tale as whimsical and intense as the legendary works of artists like Pink Floyd and Tame Impala. As a RockCharts.News music curator, I can truthfully say, “SkyCall’s artistry transports you to another dimension, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur.”

After SkyCall split in 2023, Duval undertook the monumental task of finalizing a nine-track LP, of which “Are You Ready Now?” is the third single following “Wendy” and “Amy.” Originally formed in 2019 by Duval and Luc Erwin from the band Tax Free, along with Didier Hoffmann on drums, the band experienced a transformative lineup change in 2021 when Amanda S. took over drumming duties. Though the band members have since pursued personal projects, Duval continues to wave the SkyCall flag high, composing, arranging, and performing the tracks entirely on his own.
Mastered at the renowned Sierra Studios in Athens by Alexandros Chrysidis, “Are You Ready Now?” delves deep into the theme of elusive love. Akin to a fool’s game, where victory and loss are insignificant, it’s the thrill and game that holds the essence. The captivating narrative explores a man’s infatuation with a female gamer who uses her mystique and manipulative prowess to keep admirers at bay, thereby keeping her freedom intact—a concept that will resonate profoundly with many listeners.
The sophisticated arrangement of guitars, vocals, bass, and drums not only earmarks Duval’s dedication but also pays homage to the classic rock icons that influenced his musical journey. SkyCall’s composition style brings back the golden era of psychedelic rock, enhanced by modern-day production finesse, creating an experience that leaves the listener yearning for more.
Fabrice Duval’s journey from a local band member to an independent artist is one of passion and resilience, showcasing his unwavering commitment to his craft. As a music curator, it’s a joy to present such talent to the world. I invite you all to know more about SkyCall and dive into a musical marvel filled with enthralling stories and mesmerizing soundscapes.
